The mid-term elections this year are crucial. Even though the general public thinks poorly of Congress (less than a third of us approve of the job Congress is doing), I urge you to shrug off normal mid-term doldrums and make your way to the polls (assuming you haven't already voted). Recognize, too, that in many ways this election is a referendum on the policies of the last five years, where both Houses of Congress and the White House have been under the control of one party.
