Facebook, the social networking site that is now open to everyone, has a myriad of political applications (widgets) that you can add to your profile. Here are the top media applications for the 2008 campaign!
The Daily Show
Daily Show News is a fan blog covering The Daily Show with Jon Stewart. This Facebook application embeds, in your profile, a link to the most recent TDS clip you have watched. As of 21 August, it had almost 4,400 users.
NPR Podcast Player
NPR (National Public Radio) produces and distributes noncommercial news, talk, and entertainment programming. This application lets you listen to your favorite NPR podcasts directly from your Facebook profile. You can also find new podcasts and e-mail favorites to your friends. As of 21 August, it had almost 900 users.
Bill O'Reilly
Jason Ward, a University of Illinois student, created this application that allows you and your friends to listen to Talking Points, right from your profile. This
mp3 player serves up shows for the previous five days.
As of 21 August, it had almost 510 users.
Ann Coulter
Andrew Matheny, Dallas, created this application that embeds the "best and most explosive" Ann Coulter quotes into your profile. As of 21 August, it had almost 425 users.
